New Season and New Location
Hey Soccer Families! I hope everyone is rested and ready to go. Unfortunately, we will not be at Mirada as we have been; however, we will have a place to play and our coach back.
New Location is Kyrene de Cielo, 1350 N. Lakeshore Dr., Chandler, AZ
Registration Day is Saturday, September 14th.

Season Ending!!!!!!!! :(
Marvelous Mirada Families this is the last game. Please remember the following.
- Please pay your fees in full.
- Every player needs water and sunscreen.
- If you are invited to the East vs. West Tournament - please remember to pay the fees are due Saturday. The Tournament is on Saturday.
- There will be a short ceremony after each game. Please stay, participate, and be patient.
- If you are providing snack, please remember to bring it.
- Make sure your contact information is current to stay informed and updated when the fall season will begin.

- Tigers you are playing a double headed tomorrow. The game times are 9-10am. Your game fee is $7 if you pay weekly.

Game #5 and Soccer Pictures
Mirada, we are playing game number five this Saturday!
Remember every player needs sunscreen and water. In addition, so does every spectator. Furthermore, Soccer photos are being taken this weekend at the game site. Prices start at $13 a sheet with discount packages available. If you are playing to take pictures, arrive 30-60min before your player's game time. This will provide time to take pictures while your player is clean. AllStars will need to take pictures prior to the game because the photographers are usually leaving after the Blue Devils play.
There are teams without snack volunteers this weekend. Please visit the snack tab to make sure your player's team will have snack. If not, please volunteer for snack. The players always appreciate it.
Families, please remember to sign your player in on the clip board and on the envelope. Please write the actual dollar amount you have placed in the envelope on the envelope and the sign in sheet on the clip board. This allows us to ensure your payment is accurate. Lastly, we do not provide change. However, we will credit the money to the next week. There are three games left (games 5,6, and 7). There is always the option of prepaying.
Lastly, I have not been able to post team photos from the final day of tournament because I have not received emails from every player's family giving permission to do so. I will post the photos once the approval is given (while the soccer season is still active).

Measurable Mirada!!!!! These are the teams playing day two of tournament and their rankings. Every player has done an outstanding. All are welcome to come and support our teams as they have advanced to the next round at the same location as today.

We are going to tournament all weekend. Please visit the Desert Cup 2013 tab for the schedule and details about tournament. Please remember age verification is necessary for all players 10 and up.
Other important reminders are soccer photos will be May 4th. We will have a soccer game on this day. We still need snack volunteers. Please review the snack schedule and for the available dates.
If you are not playing in the tournament, we would love for players to come and support the teams. There will be games going all day from 8a-6p.

Tournament Updates
Mirada families,
We are heading to the tournament this weekend! Mirada will have 63 players and 6 teams competing under Coach Sean Banda.
However, we are still in need of parent coaches for at least one of our teams. There will be an email sent to the team(s) in need of these volunteers. Coach Sean is not allowed to coach any of his teams until finals. Parent coaches are essential to keeping the cost of tournament down while our team coaches are refereeing the games.
Check in times:
8:00-8:30a Red Devils and Blue Devils (9am game start time) Will need to provide age verification documentation at registration time to play.
9:00-9:30a Scorpions and Defenders (10am game start time)
10:00-10:30 Sharks and All Stars (11am game start time) All Stars will need to provide age verification documentation at registration time to play.
What to bring:
Please make sure you player and yourself have plenty of water, sunscreen, food, shade, and seating or blankets to be comfortable and enjoy the game.
Lastly,
Some teams like to potluck to bring the minimize the cost for everyone. All Stars did this last tournament and it was wonderful! Everyone was able to eat (players and families). If any team would like to do this, please email me so we can make the arrangements for communication. We are on the field all day, for two days. We need to stay hydrated and nourished.

We are back to our normal practice schedule. Thank you for your participation and support during the one hour difference. Furthermore, Coach was very ill Saturday and the parent involvement made it easier for Coach and enjoyable for the players.

Lastly, we need more snack volunteers for the players each week. There are teams without snack. Please, please sign up if you are able and willing to provide a healthy snack for our players. In addition, please make sure the players (our children) are taking their trash with them and not leaving it on the ground. We have a beautiful, spacious location. Our spring soccer season will begin Saturday, January 26th, at the Mirada site. This is the registration day and our first practice. The times for each age group will be emailed and posted on the blog within the next two weeks.
The registration cost is $9 and $7 for each practice/game (The total is $16 for the first day.). If you are choosing to pay for the entire season, there are 11 weeks plus registration. As always, we will have available soccer balls and shin guards for purchase on site and the packets to order team uniforms.
